Seminar 57 One Day of Practice with the Walk for Peace Monks
The Walk for Peace is a long-distance pilgrimage across the United States initiated by monastics from the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center. Beginning in Fort Worth, Texas and walking to Washington, D.C., the pilgrimage promotes peace, compassion, and nonviolence through embodied practice and public witness. The walk commenced on October 26, 2025, covering approximately 2,300 miles (3,700 km) over 108 days. The monastics arrived in Washington, D.C. on February 10, 2026, marking the completion of this remarkable journey. On February 10, 2026, Ven. Dhammajothi joined the monks for the final stretch of the Walk for Peace in Washington, D.C. He will share reflections on his one-day pilgrimage experience and the spiritual significance of walking as practice. He also participated in the closing ceremony on February 11, standing in solidarity with the community in dedicating the merits of the journey to peace in the world.
