Seminar 83 — Spiritual Care and the Understanding of “Self”
Cultures are like water for fish. We live within them so closely that we often do not notice how they shape our understanding of the self, others, and human relationships. In this session, drawing on her spiritual care practice in both the United States and China, Chaplain Lixin Zheng will reflect on different approaches to spiritual care across these contexts. She will also explore how these differences reveal diverse understandings of personhood from a multicultural perspective.
