What's the Retribution for Exposing Others' Shortcomings?

There is a rule in Buddhism that when someone tells you something, you can not reveal the secrets during the conversation; otherwise, it is actually saying right and wrong.

If you say right and wrong, you cannot gain enlightenment, because the premise of
enlightenment is to transcend that which is right and wrong.

Using bad speech, slandering others, and cursing are all contributing negative causes of ill fate, which will  bring serious consequences to both ourselves and others. When speaking, we should not intentionally, or unintentionally, expose the shortcomings of others, and we should not speak ill behind others’ backs; this behavior will eventually cause injury to yourself.

Using compassion as an excuse to hurt others is absolutely forbidden in Buddhism.

In this world, a person who loves to expose others' shortcomings and speak ill of others behind their backs is usually very mean and unsympathetic, always entangled by evil karma with health issues and a dark spiritual presence.

People who are broad-minded, open-minded, and kind are usually very successful in all aspects of their lives.

Living happily, regardless of whether one makes a happy living or not, is closely related to one's mind.
