A poor man asked Buddha: "Why am I poor?" Buddha said: "Because you have not learned to give." The poor man asked: "How can I give if I have nothing?" Buddha said: "There are seven ways of giving alms, even by a person who has nothing: Demeanor alms: Smile when dealing with people; Language alms: Complement and comfort others ; Heart alms: Open up your heart to give kindness; Eye alms: Look at people with kind eyes; Body alms: Provide help with actions; Seat alms: Provide seats with humbleness; Accommodation alms: Be patient and tolerant."
