Don’t Get Hit By The Second Arrow

A hurt person can be as though they were shot with an arrow. ​

​After the initial blow, there is a second arrow which is the pain caused by the continued deepening of the hurting process.

Life itself is bittersweet. The attachment to the second arrow, and the repetition and reinforcement of past pain amplifies current pain in our lives and conceals the hope and light we otherwise could have had.
