No matter if the entity is human or an animal, all hope to be free from pain, and gain peace and happiness. A poor man once learned that there was gold behind a wall. He tried mightily to climb the wall, but could not get over it and suffered so much. One day a pack of wolves surrounded him in a corner, and he exhausted himself climbing the wall to escape them, but he finally made it. The moral of the story is: it's all about getting past the wall in front of you - the "wall" is yourself.
