更爱 Love More

邻居家的孩子，考试没考好，会安慰安慰邻居。

When my neighbor's children fail an exam, I say “take it easy” to my neighbor;

​自己家的孩子，考试没考好，会忧虑担心，乃至气急败坏。

因为比起邻居家的孩子，更爱自己的孩子。

​别人夸自己时，得意得飞起；
别人骂自己时，难过得要命。
因为比起被骂，更爱被夸。
佛说，有爱就有苦，苦从爱生。

When my own children fail, I become anxious or even furious,

This is because I love my own children more than my neighbor’s.

​When others praise me, I’m immensely proud,
When others scold me, I’m terribly upset.
This is because I love being praised more than being scolded.
Buddha said where there is love, there is suffering; suffering comes from love.
